For invited friends

How to start

About ten minutes. You’ll sign in to the Days on Purpose web app, choose one goal, and — only if you want — add one Android app.

Not invited? These steps won’t work without an invitation, because the Days on Purpose web app only lets in the email addresses the maker has added. Here’s what the preview is.

Before you start

The steps

  1. Sign in to the Days on Purpose web app

Open the Days on Purpose web app on your phone or computer and choose Sign in with Google, using the address your invitation was sent to.

If it says you aren’t invited, you may be signed in with a different Google account — try again with the invited address, or tell the maker.

  2. Choose one goal

Pick a starting point — “Make room for what matters” is a good one — or write your own. One goal is enough for now; you can change it any time.

  3. Optional: add one Android app

Only if it fits what you chose. Most people start with Scroll on Purpose or nothing at all.

    • Scroll on Purpose — intentional screen time

Download link not added to this page yet — use the link in your invitation message.

    • Train on Purpose — training

Download link not added to this page yet — use the link in your invitation message.

    • Doorway — Modern Greek through stories

Download link not added to this page yet — use the link in your invitation message.

  4. Install it

These are private builds, not from the Play Store, so Android asks a couple of extra questions:

    • Open the downloaded file (it ends in .apk). If Android says your browser or Files app isn’t allowed to install apps, tap Settings, allow it for that app only, and go back.
    • Tap Install. Google Play Protect may say it doesn’t recognise the developer. That’s expected for a private build; continue only if the link came from the maker.
    • Afterwards you can switch the “install unknown apps” permission off again.
    • For an update, the maker sends a newer file; install it over the old one and your data stays.
  5. Say yes only to what you need

Each app explains a permission before Android asks for it. You can say no; the app will tell you what won’t work. Which permissions, and why.

  6. Connect it to Days on Purpose, if you like

Each app’s settings has a Days on Purpose connection option that walks you through it, and you confirm on the Days on Purpose page. You can disconnect later from either side.

If you want to stop

You can pause, disconnect or uninstall at any point — nothing breaks. How to pause or stop · Delete your data.
